Job Summary:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide direct patient care and support under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Your compassionate and empathetic approach will be essential in assisting patients with daily activities and contributing to their overall well-being in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Help patients with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting and positioning techniques.
  • Serve meals and assist with feeding as necessary.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing or medical staff.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and respect their rights and personal dignity.
  • Document care provided and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in compliance with state regulations.
  • Strong understanding of basic nursing principles and patient care techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment and collaborate with the nursing team.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on patients' lives.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
